Working under the direction of the RN Team Lead, creates and coordinates patient schedule that maximizes hospital resources and streamlines the patients' time on campus. Accountable for distribution of appointment cards to patients/families as directed by hospital policy. Addresses patients/family's needs in person and/or over the telephone, providing exemplary customer service in all contacts. Functions as a resource person for patients, families, and/or significant others. Manages incoming phone calls and routes appropriately. Assists and directs patients/families to appropriate areas as needed.

Minimum Education

  • 1. High school graduate or equivalent plus (1) one year of experience/education in a clinical healthcare field required

  • 2. Associate's Degree preferred

  • 3. LPN preferred

  • 4.Computer training/experience and medical terminology required

Minimum Experience

  • 1. Three (3) years of administrative support or medical office experience required

  • 2. Customer service experience required

  • 3. Knowledge of electronic scheduling preferred

Required Credentials

  • None

Other Credentials

  • Preferred: (LC:LPN-TN) Possess a current Tennessee State Board of Nursing LPN license if primary residence is Tennessee or a non-Nurse Licensure Compact state.

  • (LC: LPN-ARK or LPN-MISS) Possess a current State Board of Nursing LPN license in the state of primary residence if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state
