Evaluates and manages the process of developing, revising, and coordinating policies, procedures and standards of care for patient care and nursing. Develops and implements new procedures for policy development and revisions. Serves as primary point of contact for all policy, procedure, and nursing standard related issues. Works collaboratively with key stakeholders and coordinates activities and communications among team members and hospital staff. Participates in shared decision making activities to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing excellence standards. Educates nurses and other leaders across the institution regarding Magnet standards and the nursing excellence program.
Master's degree in related field required but Nursing degree strongly preferred.
Five (5) years of health care experience required that includes two (2) years of experience within a clinical setting.
Experience and familiarity with nursing standards of care, medical record documentation, and use of computer programs to develop graphs and data.
Experience with policy development preferred.
Must possess a current Tennessee State Board of Nursing license, if primary residence is Tennessee, or a Nurse Licensure non-Compact state.
Must possess a current State Board of Nursing license in the state of primary residence, if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
